
The Georgia Southern University Counseling Center won an Award for Excellence in Media by the Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors.

Two $2,500 Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Center Social Justice Scholarships funded by the Quarterman & Keller Foundation Inc. have been awarded to Georgia Southern University political science major Rachal Phillips and elementary education major Leah Mikell.

Georgia Southern University will host “Celebrate Together” on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah on Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Residential Plaza. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature a festival of departmental and student organizations, as well fun extras that include a mechanical bull, rock wall, archery tag, dance team performance and live DJ.
